Welcome back to Term 4!

Foundation students are listening to a story called ‘Sogni D’oro’, ‘Sweet Dreams’. They will be revising what was learnt last term, counting, the body parts song and a good morning song.  We will also learn the language associated with greetings, numbers 1 -10 and learning the colours. They will be revising how to say, Today is…… (Oggi e` …………) and learning how to answer how they are feeling. Come stai?

 

Year 1/2  students are learning about Carnevale, an Italian celebration held in Venice. They will be learning about the characters and labelling where they come from on the map of Italy. Students will also revise the numbers and colours.

 

Year 3/4 students are learning how to say the numbers to 100 in Italian. They will also learn about Italian celebrations and present a poster about their chosen character.

 

Year 5/6 students are learning how to say the numbers to 1000 in Italian. They are also learning how to tell the time in Italian. Students will learn the language needed to describe a character of their choice.

 

On Tuesday 28t October, twelve Year 5 and 6 students will be participating in an Italian Poetry Competition at Gladstone Park Secondary College. They have done an amazing job learning their poems off by heart, congratulations to them all.

 

This weekend, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October the Melbourne Italian Festa will be held at The Royal Exhibition Building & Museum Plaza Melbourne. Free entry.
