Olympic Fun Day  - Clovelly 2024

Our Olympic Fun Day was a huge success thanks to the great work from Year 6. We began with our activities with an Opening Ceremony as our Olympic torch was carried around the track to the sound of Chariots of Fire.

Year 6 students took on the role of Sport teachers as they guided each class through a rang of Sporting activities.  A big favourite was the Tug of War and the children really got to flex their muscles, even a few of our class teachers gave it a go!

A big thank you to Miss Cheryl who helped me with the preparation of equipment for the day.  Thank you to all staff who gave me great support on the day as they rotated with their classes.  Thank you also to the parents that could attend on the day and next time be ready for the Parent Tug of War Competition!

Athletics Championships 2024

We had 22 children participating in this year's Athletics Championships at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre. The children represented the school incredibly well in both their individual and relay team events.  It was a long day for some of the children entered in multiple events but we had an enjoyable day together.

Congratulations to Charlotte and Mirabel who will be advancing onto the next round, we wish them both the best of luck! My sincere thanks to the parents who could attend and support me on the day, I am very grateful.

Stage 3 Oztag Gala Day

Year 5 and Year six got the opportunity to attend the SCS Interschool Sport Oztag Gala Day in Queens Park. The children had a great morning and there was great participation from all. A huge thank you to our parent helper Cynthia who joined us for the day!

Netball Coaching

The children in Years K - 6 will take part in 6 weeks (2 weeks in Term 2 & 4 weeks in Term 3) of Netball Coaching from Netball NSW in their Monday sport lessons. Netball NSW School Clinics have been developed to provide NSW students with a fun and safe introduction to Netball. Participants will experience personal achievement, skill development and increase physical health through skill activities, minor games and netball matches.

NRL

On Monday 12th August children in Years K - 6 will took part in a Rugby League introduction clinic at our school. It was delivered by professionally trained Game Development Officers. It was a great success and the children thoroughly enjoyed it! We are hoping to do another coaching clinic before the end of term.
