What a fabulous start we've had to term 3 in PE and House Matters. This week in PE, students participated in Indigenous games observed around Australia within Aboriginal communities from Queensland, Southern and Western Australia. In House Matters, students competed in our Minute-To-Win-It House Olympics. We can't wait to explore further sports and activities as the term progresses, from Taekwondo, Athletics, Gymnastics, Basketball, Jump Roping and more.
We have a lot of exciting sporting events and activities happening this term. Some of these events do incur a cost, so please keep an eye out on Compass for important information and updates.
Students from Foundation to Year 6 participated in many games and tricks observed in indigenous communities around Australia this week, including Kangaroo, Kungirruna, Jillora, Keentan, ilye, Koolchee, and Jinnee Ngaman Billee Billee Dabbulgar.
All students from Foundation to Year 6 participated in the Minute-to-win-it House Olympics this afternoon. We began with an opening ceremony, where all Houses were seen waving their house flags and observing the Olympic flag being walked in and the flame being lit. Students then had the chance to participate in different events within their houses. It was a fun afternoon had by all. The outcome of the winning house will be presented at the next House Matters in 2 weeks time.
In order to run our Year 3 - 6 Athletics Carnival and Year 5/6 Hooptime Basketball this term, we are in need of some parent helpers to assist us on these days.
If you able to assist for either of these events, please sign up using the following links
HOUSE ATHLETICS (Supervise an age group)
HOOPTIME BASKETBALL (Supervise/Coach a team)
If parents would like any further information, please contact Ms Bos or your class teacher.
