Year 3/4 Geography Project: Landscape Dioramas

Throughout Term 2, Our Year 3/4 students embarked on an exciting exploration of diverse environments across Africa and South America. We delved into what sets these regions apart, from their unique locations to the countries, cities, and surrounding oceans that define them.

During our studies, students uncovered different topographical features, discovering majestic mountains, winding rivers, lakes, expansive plains, and valleys that characterise these landscapes. We also immersed ourselves in the flora and fauna that thrive in these environments, and investigated how their climates shape their environment.

To deepen their understanding, students engaged in a hands-on project where they selected a natural environment—whether dense rainforests, icy Arctic tundras, or vast deserts—to create dioramas. These creations showcased their newfound knowledge and intricate beauty of natural environments around the world.
