Confirmation Family Faith Evening - 30 July

On Tuesday evening, our Year Six Confirmation candidates, along with their families and sponsors, participated in a highly engaging and well attended faith formation session as part of their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. The evening was facilitated by Fr. Elio Capra exploring the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We extend our gratitude to Fr. Elio for leading this informative session on the history and significance of Confirmation in our lives today.

Thank you also to our school and parish families for coming out on such a cold and busy night and also Fr Vinh, teachers and parish catechist. Your presence at such events demonstrates the commitment you have for nurturing the faith development of our young people.

Catholic Care Presentation - 5 August

Next Monday, our Year Six students will participate in a Catholic Care presentation. During this session, they will see and hear about young people bringing social justice to life and how they use their gifts and talents to make their community and the world a better place.

Sacrament of Confirmation - Sunday 18 August

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated at St Patrick’s Cathedral on Sunday August 18th at 2:00p.m. Please keep the children in your prayers as they prepare for this next step in their faith journey.

Coming soon - Feast Day of Australia’s only saint!

Mary MacKillop’s Feast Day is fast approaching – Thursday 8 August! 

This marks a special time when all Catholic schools can pause together and reflect with pride on what St Mary did for our less fortunate and more generally, Australian Catholic Education.

Saturday 10 August 6:00pm the Archbishop Rev Peter Comensoli will join us for mass and the blessing of our new statue of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop in the St John's Church on the side Chapel. 

ALL INVITED – come along and make this a special night for our parish. A light super will be served in the hall following the mass. If any students would like to participate in singing at the mass, please email Alison Dean, Principal. principal@sjheidelberg.catholic.edu.au
