What's been happening...

We hope you're all doing well!

As we embark on this exciting journey filled with fun and learning, we're delighted to share the latest news and activities from our program. Over the past few weeks, our 'Rise and Shine' mornings have been bustling with exciting activities. The children enthusiastically rolled up their sleeves to make our beloved pancakes from scratch, creating various shapes and colours, and enjoyed delicious homemade, healthy fruit smoothies. Additionally, we have been playing "What's Next?" and word rhyming games to stimulate the children's minds, keeping them engaged and eager to learn.

In our afternoon 'Stay and Play' sessions, we've delved into a world of creativity and teamwork. From the sweet treats of making fruit cakes and cupcakes to crafting flatbread from scratch using family-suggested recipes during our 'Flavour Fest', the children have been discovering new skills and flavours.

Our extra learning activity on Wednesdays has been a favourite! The children have the opportunity to learn about different reptile animals and their habitats, sparking curiosity and a love for the natural world. Reminder: Our last extra learning activity session is next Wednesday—don't miss out! Be sure to book your child in! Please find attached our planned activities for next week.

A quick reminder that on 29 August, we have an early finish, with the service starting at 1:00pm. We can escort your children to OLMC at 4:00pm. Please note that if you would like us to walk your children to OLMC, you need to sign two permission forms (early release forms and transportation form). Please find the Early Release Form and the Transportation Form,  complete them and send it back to us at your earliest convenience.

Lastly, our next school closure day is 30 August. We are seeking expressions of interest to run a pupil-free day. If you would like to book your child into OSHClub on 30 August, please email us at stjohns@oshclub.com.au or message us on 0401 333 932. Please note that to proceed with a pupil-free day, we need at least 12 expressions of interest.

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!
