VOCABULARY

Scale: The size of an object compared to the size of the object's smaller representative on a map e.g. 1cm = 1km. 

Navigate: Finding your way to a destination. 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Draw a map of your bedroom. Use the following scale: 1cm = 1m.

Use a ruler to measure the following:

• The distance from your bed to the door. 
• The distance from the window to where you store your clothes.
