Paris Olympics 

At Glen Education, we view the Olympics as an opportunity to teach children about values such as team spirit, collegiality and perseverance. 

Children have been engaged in experiences that have also supported an understanding of different cultures by connecting them with the wider world (EYLF, 2022, Outcomes 2).

Our educators have taken time to reflect on the Olympic Games and the rich learning that occurred, because they intentionally incorporated the games into the curriculum. ​

Tracey, an educator from Glen Bentleigh East Kindergarten shared, “Our Olympic Torch Ceremony was a huge success” as children engaged in a re-enactment of the ceremony.

A huge thank you to our team for their creativity and enthusiasm. These experiences helped our children connect with global values and understand their role in the community.

Celebrating the values of cooperation, respect, and inclusion, our young learners have grown in their appreciation of diverse cultures and teamwork. 

As the Olympic games conclude, we celebrate both the athletes' achievements and the growth of our children, nurturing their global citizenship and positive contributions.​
