Year 4 Production & Puppet Shows!

It is a very exciting time for our year four students, with rehearsals for ‘Circus Pandemonia’ kicking into full gear. We cannot wait to see all the students shining on stage. It is such a great way for them to build confidence, resilience and teamwork. Thanks to Ros Lawrence, Mr King and the year four team led by Alex Hudson for all the planning, preparation and extra work they have (and will) put into this for our students. Please encourage your child to express their gratitude.

Year 4s have also been busy creating their own puppets, puppet theatres and scripts as part of their inquiry unit ‘Let Us Entertain You!’ Thanks to our wonderful art teacher, Ms Michielin, the puppets look incredible. And another thank you to the parents who came in to help with painting the theatres - the year four teachers truly appreciated this! I know the year four students also loved presenting their puppet shows to the prep classes.

Write a Book in a Day

Some of our year 6 writers have been participating in an extension learning opportunity - the ‘Write a Book in a Day’ competition. This gives students the chance to collaborate and stretch their creative writing skills, as well as make a difference in the lives of kids living with cancer. All entry fees and funds raised go directly to the Kids’ Cancer Project. Thank you to Kali Fraser for coordinating this for our students - your passion for literacy and helping our students thrive is very much appreciated!
