Year 6

Hello from 6S

Last week our Year 6 students attended their camp at Log Cabin Camp, Ballarat. The camp was a fantastic opportunity for students to not only have fun but also to challenge themselves and display resilience and determination.

First stop was Sovereign Hill, the students had the chance to immerse themselves in the gold rush era by participating in activities such as gold pouring, candle making, gold panning, visiting the bakery and lolly shop. It was a hands-on experience that allowed them to learn about history in an engaging way.

At Log Cabin Camp, the students engaged in a variety of thrilling activities, including the Leap of Faith, Giant Swing, Night Walk, Hut Building, Commando Course, Archery and the Zip Line. These activities not only provided a sense of adventure but also encouraged teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Throughout the camp, the students pushed themselves to try new things and overcome challenges. They worked together, supported each other, and showed great determination in all the activities they participated in.

We are proud of all the grade 6 students for their positive attitude and enthusiasm during the camp. We believe that experiences like these help them grow, not only academically but also socially and emotionally.
