Principal's Report
So much going on in the past fortnight!
A big thank you to all the staff and parents who have helped make the following experiences happen for the students:
- Year 6 Camp
- Year 5 Camp
- Year 3 Twisted Science
- Year 1 Coal Creek
- Year 2 Museum of Play and Art
Storm Damage Fixed!
Remember the storm in February? The damage to our Maths portable (behind the Cavill Centre) is now fixed. Mr Jellie will be able to move back in and the students will no longer have to work at the farm!
Mobile Phone Policy
Our Mobile Phone policy (available on our school website) requires all students to hand their phones and smart watches to their teacher at the beginning of the school day so they can be securely stored. If your child has a mobile phone or smart watch that they bring onto the school premises, please ensure they are aware of these requirements. All government schools are mandated to enforce this policy.
School Uniform
Overall, school uniform is looking very smart! I appreciate those that have worked hard to ensure that full school uniform is worn every day. This includes red, black or white shoes!
Long Service Leave
I will be on long service leave for the final week of Term 2. I look forward to returning at the beginning of Term 3.
Mrs Pepper will be taking long service leave for all of Term 3. I will inform you of her replacement in due course. We hope Mrs Pepper has a wonderful time travelling and look forward to seeing her in Term 4.
Planning Week
All year level teams and specialist teachers have been planning their curriculum content and experiences for Term 3 throughout the course of this week. Thanks to our level leaders for leading this work.
Pupil Free Days
Please put in the calendar that Friday July 19th is a pupil free day as this is a parent/teacher interview day.
School Council still have two more to schedule (both in Term 4) and we will let you know as soon as they are decided.
Team Kids are always available on these days.
Have a great fortnight,
Mark Moorhouse
Principal
