Three-Year-Olds

This week the 3yo group have engaged in some wonderfully focused play and learning together. Our indoor and outdoor camping setups have been inspired by children’s ongoing interest, and experiences of camping. We have been enjoying listening to the Bluey Camping story and this has also become the subject of some of our dramatic and imaginary play. 

Four-Year-Olds

The 4 year olds have been we focusing on learning about different feelings and emotions, as well as self-regulation techniques such as deep breathing and candle breathing. The children also enjoyed playing on the seesaw and challenged themselves with walking on stilts. The Budja group made a volcano and explored making it explode using vinegar, bi-carb soda, dish soap and red food colouring. We have been following on from the interest of the children drawing and labelling volcanoes. We also planted some winter vegetables in our kinder garden. The Gawarn group also explored science through looking at making snow and visited the school garden.
