As famous Disney character Dory once said “Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming, Swimming, Swimming”. Well, that's what we will do! On Tuesday of Week 1 in Term 3 we begin our Whole School Water Safety program. Students will go by bus to Aquanation in Ringwood to complete their guided swimming lessons each day from Tuesday 16/7 until Friday 26/7. Parents are welcome to attend and watch these lessons, attached is a document outlining what time your child's class will be at the pool and the expectations around visitors:

Digital Technology @ MPRPS

During our School Review in 2023, the external assessment panel found that our students demonstrated strong capabilities in digital technologies and that iPads were being used in line with our vision of providing a safe, innovative and engaging setting.

In accordance with Department scheduling, we are currently revising our Digital Learning Policy, which includes an analysis of how iPads and other digital technologies are being used at school.

We will be looking at the types of activities being planned and delivered using iPads, how often they are being used and for how long, and the value added to the students’ learning. Our complete curriculum package also takes into consideration digital citizenship and cyber-safety training, class management and expectations, and boundaries and consequences as outlined through our Acceptable Use Agreement.

Our Digital Learning Review kicked off with a tabled discussion at the School Council Education Sub-committee last week. We are now conducting a parent survey as a part of this process, which will be followed by a community forum for discussion. To participate in the survey, please use the following link:

Foundation 2025 Enrolments

Enrolments for Foundation close on the 26th July. Please scan the below QR Code to access Digital Enrolment for 2025 for Mount Pleasant Road Primary School.

Holiday Building Works

  • Over the next few Saturdays the builders will be working, from 7.00 to 3.pm on the new building, to catch up lost days.
  • New boundary fencing will be installed over the holiday period to replace the current fencing. It is important to note that this fencing will improve the safety for our students and make vehicle access easier to manage. It will also mean that gates can be closed during school hours and support the registration of visitors and contractors onsite. This will also mean that students will need to be signed in by parents/carers if arriving after 9.00am.
  • Fencing to be installed down Eugenia Street
  • Chain link across the oval for student safety and to stop balls going onto the street.
  • Automatic Gates for access to the oval and a pedestrian gate
  • Complete Staff Car Park fencing and new fencing along Mt Pleasant Road
  • New fencing installed at 2.1 metres high as per The Departments security advisor.
  • Automatic gates to meet OH&S requirements for vehicle access..

I thank School Council and Administration Staff for all their work in coordinating and arriving at an appropriate solution.

School Disco

This year our school disco will be held on Friday 9th of August during the school day. Our theme will be chosen by students and will be announced at our next assembly on the 28th June.

The disco will be a gold coin donation, to cover glow sticks and decorations. We are looking forward to another fun school event for this year.
