Grandparents and Special Friends Day Reminder

We are celebrating Grandparents and Special Friends Day on Friday 26 July. 

On this date the Catholic Church honours St Ann and St Joachim who are the parents of Mary and the grandparents of Jesus. 

Please inform the grandparents and special friends in your family of this special event. 

Thank you to the families who emailed a photo of their child/children with their grandparents or special friends. These photos will be included in the Google Slide presentation to be shown during the Grandparents and Special Friends Day prayer liturgy. 

Photos can still be shared until Wednesday 24 July, please email to Ray Hickey rhickey@smashburton.catholic.edu.au 

Thank you also to the families who responded to the Operoo notification, indicating the number of adults attending. Please make sure this is completed on Operooand to assist with catering purposes. 

Do you have The Greatest Showman CD?

We would like to use one of the songs from the The Greatest Showman soundtrack during the Grandparents and Special Friends prayer liturgy. It needs to be on a compact disc (CD).

Please email rhickey@smashburton.catholic.edu.au if the school can borrow your CD. It will be returned to you after the prayer liturgy. Thank you.

For The Pastoral Care of The Sick

Let us pray that the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, bestows the Lord's strength to those who receive it and to their loved ones, and that it may become for everyone an ever more visible sign of compassion and hope. Amen
