Operations & Staffing

Early in Term 1, the Human Resources team launched the School’s new human resources system, ELMO. ELMO is now our staff learning management system and also manages our reflection and planning processes. The second phase of implementation is underway, which will see our recruitment and onboarding processes automated, enhancing our candidate and new starter experience.

The Financial Services team has been busy preparing the 2024 financial statements for the auditors who visited in March. The audited financial report will be presented at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 17 May 2025. Additionally, the team is working on a revision of the 2025 Draft Budget, which was prepared in October 2024, for submission to the Board of Governors.

In 2024, the Financial Services team initiated a project to replace the School’s payroll system, which was no longer fit for purpose. The new system, known as Definitiv, was successfully implemented during the Summer break of 2024/25. Definitiv is a fully electronic payroll system that aligns with industry best practice.

The Argyle Motor Lodge (AML) has been operarted by the School since April 2024. This acquisition was a strategic decision aimed at facilitating future growth on the Argyle Street Campus. Pleasingly, after nearly 12 months of operation, AML is performing as anticipated and is contributing positively to the School's finances.

The School Maintenance team have undertaken numerous facilities improvements over the Christmas break and Term 1. Three projects are listed below.

  1.  Works were undertaken within the Senior School, moving the Student Sanctum space from the WN Oats Centre to N307 in North Block. Works in N307 included the replacement of a solid internal wall giving clear lines of sight through to the Library.

2. The Primary School Office received significant works, with the building exterior receiving render repairs and painting, whilst the interior has been remodeled with a new reception area, waiting alcove, first aid space and Head of School Office.

3. Storm Water management works were undertaken on the Argyle Street greens with new landscaping elements added to direct water and contain soft fall.
