Year 7 Debating - Round 1 

Our Year 7 Debaters, coached by our Year 11 & 12 student coaches, head out last week into their first round of debates. For some of these students, it was their first ever time debating. The quality of all the debates was incredibly impressive and it is clear our Year 7 cohort are making their mark as strong, confident and powerful young people. Congratulations to our Year 7 teams! 

Invitation to the Governor’s Address

Milly T (Year 9) was invited to Government House to attend a Governor’s Address with Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM. Milly was recognised as the national winner of the 2024 English-Speaking Union's Junior Public Speaking Competition. It was an evening of celebration of the English language with special guests such as Roly Sussex and the board members of the English-Speaking Union in attendance, along with all the other winners and runners up.

Congratulations Milly, you have certainly made a name for Mount Alvernia up at Fernberg House!
