Foundation - Spotlight on Learning

We have had a great first week back with our amazing students and can't wait to see the growth and success coming this term! 

Next week, Week 2 of Term 2, we will be learning and engaging in the following: 

Religious Education Focus

We will be learning about the Resurrection of Jesus. 

English Focus

We will continue to learn Stage 2 sounds, ' g' and 'd'. We will be building words using these sounds, such as not, hot, ant, etc. We will continue to read words with Stage 1 and Stage 2 sounds. Please check the reading pouch for the sound sheet every Monday.

Mathematics Focus

We are learning to write numbers from 11-20. 

Social and Emotional Learning

We are learning about positive coping skills.

Auslan Focus

We are learning to use Auslan to ask (sign) a question. We are learning that the use of facial expressions, such as raising our eyebrows adds meaning to our signing. 

Reminders

No toys, stickers or pencil cases at school please. Students have everything they require for fun and learning supplied at school! If toys, stickers or other items are brought from home, teachers will remove the item and return it at the end of the day.
