Child Safe & Wellbeing

Safety, Respect and Learning

Fire Carrier Program

At our school, we are proud to be part of the FIRE Carrier Program.

FIRE stands for Friends Igniting Reconciliation through Education. This program helps us learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. It teaches us to show respect, justice, and kindness – just like Jesus did.

This program supports Child Safe Standard 1, which means our school is a place where all children feel safe, included, and respected.

As a FIRE Carrier school, we:

  • Learn about Aboriginal history, culture, and spirituality
  • Build respect and understanding for First Nations peoples
  • Celebrate that every person is made in the image of God
  • Behave in ways that show everyone belongs
  • Help build a fairer and more loving world – just like Jesus taught us to do

As part of a Catholic School we learn to stand up for others, include everyone, and care for creation. The FIRE Carrier Program helps us to live this everyday.
