Mother's Day Celebrations

Mother’s Day Celebrations at St John Vianneys

Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate all the important women in our life.

As Mother’s Day approaches (Sunday, May 11th), we will be celebrating with a special afternoon on Thursday, May 8th. The celebration will begin at 2:30pm.

From 2:30pm to 3:15pm, all classes will host mums/special guests for GEM activities in the classrooms.

As part of the afternoon we will participate in sharing and decorating Pink buns as part of the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) fundraising through Bakers Delight. Please bring a small donation on the day.

At 3:15pm, an afternoon tea will be held in the Performing Arts area, running until 4:00pm. The afternoon tea will begin with a performance from our choir.

Mother’s Day Stall – Wednesday, May 7

The Mother’s Day Stall will be held in the Performing Arts area (starting from 9.30am).

A CDF link will be sent shortly to order your gifts. All students are given time throughout the day to choose the gift their mother would like to give her a surprise on the Sunday.

By choosing a Mother's Day present  it allows children to express their love and appreciation for their mothers in a meaningful way. This can involve carefully considering their mother's interests and needs, leading to a more thoughtful and personalised gift. Additionally, choosing their own present helps students develop their empathy and ability to understand others' perspectives, fostering personal growth and stronger relationships.
