Be Aware of Others

This week, students have been learning about the importance of being aware of others around them.  

Why it's important

Safe

Watch Out for Each Other: When we play games, it’s super important to look out for our friends. If we’re aware of where everyone is, we can avoid bumping into each other and getting hurt. It helps keep the playground safe for all of us!

Help If Someone's in Trouble: If we see someone who looks sad or needs help, we can step in and be a good friend. When we pay attention to others, we can make sure everyone feels safe and included.

Respectful

Give Each Other Space: While we’re playing, we should be aware of each other’s personal space. It’s nice to let everyone have their room to move around. This way, we all feel comfortable and respected.

Celebrate Our Differences: We all have different skills and abilities. If we notice that someone needs a little extra help, we can adjust the game so that everyone can join in and have fun together!

Engaged

Teamwork Makes It Fun: When we keep an eye on where our friends are, we can work together better. It’s more fun when we communicate and pass the ball or team up in games. We can make awesome plays when we’re all engaged!

Invite Everyone to Play: If we’re aware of our surroundings, we can see who wants to join in. Let’s make sure no one feels left out. The more, the merrier! Including everyone makes our games way more exciting and fun!
