Boarding Bulletin

Only one week left until the end of Term! Our boarders will begin packing for the holidays over the upcoming weekend. We are still addressing the water damage to the Recreation Room and have arranged alternative storage options within the Boarding House for the holiday period.

Exam Block

I am incredibly proud of our boarders who have worked diligently in preparation for their end-of-term assignments and exams. A huge thank you to our Assistant Head of Boarding, Ms Tina Mills, whose efforts have been instrumental in ensuring all boarders stay on track with their personal learning assessment plans.

This week, we have Year 12 students in-house for their block exams, which will continue until early next week. As I am currently on an international marketing trip, Ms Christine Quist is the only staff member in-house with the students. Due to this, personal appointments during the school day will not be possible.

Events

Inter-Boarding School Touch Competition

Our boarders will be representing in both Junior and Senior divisions of the Inter-Boarding School Touch Competition being held at Marist Brothers Ashgrove on Sunday.  The teams will be eagerly cheered on by our Clayfield Croc Squad. Thank you to Year 12 boarder, Sport Captain and Touch Captain, Reese Orcher, for organising the teams and training sessions. Go Clayfield!

Harmony Day

We proudly celebrated the many cultures in boarding on Harmony Day last Friday. It is truly wonderful to be part of a multicultural and diverse school and Boarding House community.

External School Camp

During the upcoming school holidays, we will have an external school from Adelaide hiring our boarding facility. They will be utilising Upper McDonald and Newman Wings for their camp.

End of Term

The end of term is nearly here and will finish on Thursday 3 April at 3:10pm.  Please send through your child’s travel itinerary urgently if you have not already done so for airport or bus drop off.

If you wish to utilise the Nudgee Bus Service for your child’s travel to Toowoomba, Goondiwindi and Moree, we can transport your child to Nudgee for the 7:30am departure on Boarder Travel Day on Friday 4 April.

Information to book is included in the attached flyer.
