Fostering Wellbeing Through Belonging
Our Houses embrace the strategic pillar of Wellbeing Through Belonging, ensuring every student feels known, valued, and understood. This week, Gibson House was in the spotlight and took centre stage with one of its most requested activities, Just Dance. Students gathered in the Drama rooms to unwind, enjoy music, and share laughter while following vibrant choreography, fostering a strong sense of community and connection.
A special tradition during House time on Fridays involves creating a calming atmosphere for students to relax and bond. These moments reinforce the values of wellbeing and belonging, ensuring every Gibson House member feels supported. Through activities like these, we continue to nurture an environment where students thrive socially, emotionally, and physically.
Illuminating The Sky with House Spirit
The Interhouse Cross Country Championships was a day filled with energy, enthusiasm, and an incredible display of House spirit. Our students came together in full force, showcasing their dedication and pride in their respective Houses.
One of the standout moments of the day was the traditional House War Cries, where each House roared with passion, creating an electrifying atmosphere. The unity and camaraderie were further amplified when the entire College came together for the full College War Cry, led by our Seniors. Their leadership and school pride were truly inspiring, setting the tone for an unforgettable day.

Consolidating Learning from Term 1
As assessment concludes for this term, we acknowledge students’ efforts and look ahead to a well-earned break. We are proud of students who took on board advice and feedback and created study plans this term and who demonstrated resilience and dedication through block exams, in class assessment and assignments.
Soon students will be enjoying holiday time and a chance to rest and recharge. During this time, students are encouraged to reflect on their academic success and challenges from Term 1, as well as the semester goals they have set themselves, to consider actions needed next term to achieve goals.
In the final week, as classes consolidate learning from topics this term or begin new topics in preparation for next term, we encourage students to maintain their engagement and momentum to make the most of all of learning opportunities of Term 1.

Any students in Years 7 to 9 wishing to participate in the Interschool Chess Tournament on Monday 31 March must reach out to Mrs Bryan mbryan@clayfield.qld.edu.au as soon as possible, by the end of the week.
