Love Umbrellas
Recently Pre-Prep read the storybook classic, “Under the Love Umbrella” by Davina Bell. It celebrates the invisible, protective and present love between caregivers and children.
Whatever you fear, come close my dear
You’re tucked in safe for always here
And I will never not be near
Because of our love umbrella
This beautiful installation created by our Pre-Prep students and their teachers, Mrs Lord, Mrs Madders and Miss Coombes, hangs in their classroom as a reminder of the connections in their world.
Peer Power Incursion
Year 6 were lucky enough to have Peer Power come and work with them on their leadership and collaboration skills. Milly, Luke and Mitch consider themselves ‘adolescent-ologists’ and engaged with the students in such a positive and affirming manner.
The students were presented with a series of challenges, working together in different sized groups across the two classes. Some of the activities were designed to be difficult, encouraging the group to draw upon their resilience and communication skills. Throughout the session students were able to identify the qualities they wanted to showcase as leaders in Year 6 this year. They thought about everyday actions which will positively impact our Clayfield community and considered what legacy they hope to leave.
Ashburn, Campbell and Gibson House Chapel
We invite all Ashburn, Campbell, and Gibson students and their families, from Prep to Year 12, to join us for a special House Chapel service on Sunday 30 March, from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at the Clayfield College Chapel. The afternoon will begin with light refreshments, and we encourage each family to bring a plate of food to share.
