Learning and Thriving in 25
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we reach the final week of the school year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support, partnership and trust throughout 2025. This is our final newsletter for the year and it is a chance to reflect on the many moments that made this school year so memorable.
A Year of Learning and Growth
Thank you for the way you have worked alongside us in supporting your children’s learning. Your engagement, whether through conversations at home, attendance at school events, volunteering your time, participating in surveys or simply showing encouragement, has made a remarkable difference. Our shared goal has been to place student learning at the forefront and together we have made this happen.
Thank You to Our Staff
I would also like to acknowledge the dedication and professionalism of our staff. Each member of our teaching, support team and office staff has worked with care, skill and a genuine commitment to ensuring that every child grows as a learner and a person. Their work goes far beyond the classroom—planning, preparing, reviewing, supporting, guiding and caring for students every day. We are blessed to have a staff who believe in our students and give their best, always.
To every teacher, teacher’s aide, specialist, support staff member, office team and volunteer who has contributed this year, thank you. Your work matters and it has a lasting impact on our children.
A Year Filled with Wonderful Events
When we look back on 2025, it has truly been a year of wonderful events, achievements, celebrations and shared experiences. From Carols by Twilight, Gala Days, Book Week, parades, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day events, Grandparents Day, STEM MAD successes, excursions and liturgies, to learning showcases and Masses—we have had so many moments of joy, pride and community.
Each event represents the efforts of many people behind the scenes and the enthusiasm of our students who embrace every opportunity. These occasions highlight what makes St Margaret Mary’s so special, our sense of community, our values and our belief in each child’s potential.
Celebrating Our Leadership Team
I extend my deepest thanks to the outstanding leadership team at StMM’s.I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Anthony Matthews for his dedication, support and professionalism. His tireless efforts have significantly contributed to the positive and nurturing environment that defines StMM’s School. Together, we have shaped the vision of our school and we are truly fortunate to have such an exceptional leadership team at the helm.
To my entire leadership team, I thank them for their dedication and unwavering commitment to our parents, staff and students’ success and well-being. Their impact is immeasurable, and I am grateful for their positive influence on our school and the continued support they provide.
Celebrating Our Students
Most importantly, we celebrate the achievements of our students this year. They have worked hard, shown persistence, supported one another and grown in confidence and capability. We are incredibly proud of every student and all they have accomplished.
To our graduating Year 6 students, congratulations. You have been wonderful leaders and we are excited to see what the future holds for you. We pray that the values you have learnt here continue to guide you in your journey.
Looking Ahead
As the year comes to a close, I wish every family a peaceful Christmas filled with joy and time spent with loved ones. May this holiday season bring rest, reflection and gratitude for all we have shared as a school community.
We look forward to welcoming you back in 2026 for another year of learning, growth and exciting opportunities.
Thank you for being such an important part of St Margaret Mary’s.
Kind regards
Grace Carlo-Stella
