Principal Message

Be Kind, Be safe, Be respectful, Be responsible, Be resilient, Be ready
Dear Parents
As I write this final newsletter, my heart is filled with gratitude and pride. After eight and a half years of serving this wonderful school community, the time has come for me to move on and tackle a new challenge.
It has been an extraordinary privilege to be the founding principal of Our Lady Star of the Sea and to walk alongside our students as they have grown in knowledge, confidence, and character. I have witnessed countless moments of courage, creativity, compassion, and kindness—moments that remind me why schools are such special places and, in particular, why ours is indeed a wonderful place of love and understanding.
I am deeply thankful to our dedicated staff, whose passion and professionalism have shaped the lives of so many young people. To our families, thank you for your trust, support, and partnership. And to our students—you are the heartbeat of this school. Never stop striving, questioning, and believing in yourselves.
Change always brings both sadness and excitement. While I will miss the daily rhythm of school life (and my many visitors to the office), I leave with confidence that this community will continue to flourish under your new principal, Mrs. Pamela McKillop. The future is bright, and I know you will carry forward the spirit of love and kindness that makes this school unique.
As I leave, I carry with me cherished memories and enduring friendships. Please know that I will always hold this community close to my heart.
Thank you so much for joining us at the carols. It was truly heartwarming to look out and see so many smiling faces (and I do apologise for the sound issues!). Thank you also to Bree for her beautiful words on behalf of you all, and lastly, for the thoughtful gifts I received on Tuesday evening. The whole occasion was extremely special and a memory I will treasure always.
With gratitude and blessings,
Keep smiling and Merry Christmas, everyone.
Keep smiling
Cathy
