2026 Local Walk and Media Consent

Local Excursion Annual Consent 

For current and future students

Our Local Excursion Annual Consent Form for 2026 is now open to parents/carers for completion in Compass. Thank you to those families who have already completed preferences for their child/ren.

If you have not yet completed this form and wish to provide consent for your child, we ask that you do so by Friday 19th December. Please head to Course Confirmation/School Payments in Compass and follow the prompts (if instructions are required, please see the Compass post).

In line with Department of Education (DET) requirements, Local Excursion Consent must be provided annually for Essendon North Primary School to take students outside of school grounds to undertake educational activities in the local area. It does not provide consent for excursions that go beyond the local area. 

Please note that if you choose not to complete this form, your child/ren will not be permitted to join local walking excursions in 2026. Only consent forms with status of Complete will indicate that your consent has been provided. If the status on this form remains Not Started or In Progress, we will assume that you do not wish to provide consent. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Media Consent

For future 2026 students

For new students commencing in 2026, there are also 3 media consent forms available in Compass for parents/carers to complete, in accordance with DET requirements. Media consent is ongoing and only needs to be provided once when your child begins at ENPS. The media consent categories are:

1. Images in the Physical School Environment Consent (classroom displays) 

2. Media Consent Forms for internal use (disclosure within the school community)

3. Media Consent Forms for external use (disclosure in publications/locations that are publicly accessible

    

We ask all future parents and carers to read through the information in these forms and respond by the end of term Friday 19th December.

Only consent forms with status of Complete will indicate that your consent has been provided. If the status of any consent forms remains Not Started or In Progress, we will assume that you do not wish to provide consent.
