Level One

For Theme in Term 4 Level One students have been exploring the concept of old and new. We have seen how items have changed from the past to the future and understand how many items from the past have changed.

One of the most interesting things we learnt was seeing how toys used to look like. We learnt that toys have changed over the years. In the past many toys were made of wood and metal. Dolls, wooden cars and dominoes are all examples of older toys.

Now toys are mostly made of plastic and metal and we have toys like robots, remote controlled cars and even drones!

Our project for Theme was to design and create toys made from recycled materials. We first had to make a plan about what kind of toy we wanted to design. After we finished our planning we got to move on to construction! 

We used many different recycled items for our work! We cut out shapes and glued things together to make our toys! You can see how different each of our toys are and it was so much fun to create our very own toy!
