Level Three

Gymnastics Program

After weeks of practising their gymnastics skills at school, our Level Three students were lucky enough to visit BTYC Gymnastics to put their learning to the test on the bigger equipment. Students showed great confidence as they explored the beams, bars, trampolines, and floor routines, and it was fantastic to see their persistence and enthusiasm shine. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves, build new skills, and celebrate all of their hard work.

Port Melbourne Beach Excursion

Earlier in the term, our Level 3 students headed to Port Melbourne Beach for a fantastic Beach Safety excursion. Students took part in hands-on activities, including using life jackets, practising safe rescue techniques, and learning how to stay safe around water. Despite the chilly conditions, everyone demonstrated enthusiasm, teamwork, and confidence in the water. It was a wonderful day of learning and fun, and we are so proud of how responsibly our students represented our school.

Leena: Last Monday, all of the Grade Threes went to Port Melbourne Beach. My favourite part was wearing the life jackets and going into the water, even though it was freezing! We learned how to save people using floating objects and how life jackets help keep us safe. We also got to have a turn on a boogie board.

Evelyn: My favourite activity was working with a partner. One partner went into the water while the other had to find a floating object to throw to them. The person in the water used it to paddle back, and then we swapped roles. I enjoyed being the one who got rescued, even though the water was so cold!

Eshton: We also got to play on the beach with lots of different equipment. We could play a Velcro ball game, throw a frisbee, or build in the sand. After that, we had a sandcastle competition. The winning group built the Great Wall of China out of sand! Even though it was a really cold day, we all had so much fun.
