Brigidine Campus News

As we are now over one third of the way through term two, my hope is that we are settled and engaged in our learning here at Brigidine Campus.

A few reminders about what this might look like:

  • arriving on time to school and class
  • being prepared for lessons with all required materials
  • engaging in our lessons and with our teachers
  • seeking assistance when needed

Attendance

It is important that our students are at school, in class, every day. When this cannot occur, a reminder that a medical certificate or statutory declaration is required. It is our policy at St Joseph’s that students are in class at least 90% of the time, this allows for the best opportunity for success.

Uniform

A reminder that as it is getting cooler we have a College jumper that is to be worn for warmth as opposed to undergarments that are visible outside of school approved clothing. If you require assistance with any part of the uniform please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child's House Leader.

Year 10

Year 10 students have had many opportunities presented to them this term and will continue to do so as the weeks progress. We ask that you engage in conversation with your child about these exciting opportunities so that they are best prepared to move forward with their Senior School education.

Most recently, they have been reminded about completing their Work Experience forms and their Careers Camp workshop choices. As always, these opportunities are to expose our students to all that life has to offer and with great input comes great output. If you require any further information don’t hesitate to reach out to our Work Related Skills team.

Exams

Year 10 and 11 students are no doubt beginning to revise for their upcoming exams. These occur in Week 8 of this term, which leaves three weeks of study ahead. These provide an opportunity to practice the skills required for our students to achieve success in their Year 12 exams. If your child is feeling overwhelmed by the upcoming exams please encourage them to reach out to their teacher and their LM for support. Again, the more we put in now the more we get out of the opportunity.
