Mother’s & Special Friends’ Day Event

Mother’s Day stall

Thank you to Jenny, Karen, Georgia, Kelly and Vesna for all your hard work to organise the Mother’s Day stall! It takes a lot of time and effort to pull this together and it is much appreciated. As always, it was a high energy morning and the students had a great time buying presents!

Mother’s Day social event

Thank you to all the wonderful women who joined us last Friday night at the Half Moon to enjoy our annual Mother’s Day social event. We had over 50 mums attend the event and it’s fair to say the dance floor was a highlight for many!

Thank you to the local businesses who so generously donated to our door prizes - Tilnak Fine Art Portraits, Your Secret Closet Hampton, Teo’s Pizza Bar, Runway Room cosmetics, FS8 Highett, Spray Aus and Regulator Highett. And congratulations to the lucky winners!

Bare Laser and Skin is a beautiful clinic located on Hampton street, founded and directed by Alishia Boot (Winter, Grade Three). Alishia has been working in the skin and laser industry for nearly 14 years and is known for corrective skin treatments targeting pigmentation, ageing and redness. Her clinic has built a strong reputation with loyal clients over the years including beauty guru Zoe Foster Blake (and many school mums!) and she’s passionate about working closely with people to help them feel confident in their skin. Alishia would love to welcome more mums from our school into the clinic.

Ivy Rose Signature Beauty is a local business owned by the talented Rosie Crosher (George, Prep). With a background in luxury spas, Rosie created Ivy Rose not just as a beauty business, but as a calming space where women can feel cared for and truly celebrated. Ivy Rose Signature Beauty specialises in beauty services including lash lifting, brow lamination, henna brow dye and more. Rosie would love to welcome you either at her home salon in Highett or at The Wellness Suites located in Bentleigh East.

Mother’s and Special Friends’ Day breakfast and liturgy

We are looking forward to celebrating with the students and women of St. Agnes’ tomorrow at our annual breakfast in the hall from 7:30am, followed by the Liturgy in the hall at 8:50am.

A huge thanks to Georgia Sotiroski, Tim Goodingham and Lukas Bray for all your work to make the breakfast a success, and to the dads who have volunteered to help at the event tomorrow.

Friday BBQ

Friday Sausage Sizzle is back for term 2 & 3.

Instead of allocating a grade to each week during the term, we are simply asking for three volunteers every Friday from approximately 2:45pm to run the BBQ (includes set up, cooking, serving and pack down).

The sausages and bread will be ready and waiting for you (so no need to head to the shops!) and BBQ instructions will be shared, so whether you’re a grill master or just keen to lend a hand, we’d love your help!

We do rely on volunteers to run this fundraiser each week and unfortunately had to cancel last week without enough support so if you are available for this Friday 9 May, or any Friday through the term please jump on and register.

P&F meeting, Tuesday 13 May

Just a reminder that we have our next P& F meeting at school next Tuesday 13 May at 7:30pm. All class reps are encouraged to come along please but we welcome any one to join us and get involved.
