2025 House Cross Country - Thursday 8 May
Preparations are well underway for the Annual College House Cross Country that will be held on campus on the JPC Oval, next Thursday, 8 May.
The carnival is a compulsory event for all Year 7-12 students and staff, with a focus on House Spirit and Participation.
Students are to wear Sports Uniform to school. Students and staff are asked to wear their House coloured shirts and or dress in appropriate House colours for the duration of their races and or time on the oval.
The revised format of the day is as follows:
Pastoral Care, P1, P2, and Recess - as per normal timetabled classes.
(Note: Years 3-6 will be running their Cross Country races during this time)
P3-P4 Middle School (Years 7-9)
Note: Years 10-12 are to attend normal timetabled classes during P3-4.
P5-6 Senior School (Years 10-12)
Please note:
Students should bring appropriate drinks, along with sunscreen and appropriate footwear. A change of socks/shoes is also recommended.
Parents and carers are welcome to attend. Parking is available on Main Road or on the grassed areas on either side of the driveway.
We are an inclusive community and would like all students to engage to the best of their ability, within the Virgilian spirit.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed to another day, and normal timetabled classes will be activated.

Sailing Development Wrap
At sVc, the possibilities for growth and learning are boundless.
This past term, we successfully wrapped up the Sailing Development program, which saw a spirited group of students and volunteers embracing the beautiful weather and optimal sailing conditions. The excitement on the water was palpable as participants honed their sailing skills and built camaraderie among peers.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Geoff Doolan, Br. Peter Flint, Bruce Woods, and our dedicated team of volunteer parents and grandparents. Their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts made this program a memorable experience for everyone involved. The skills acquired and the friendships formed, both on the water and during our land-based activities, are treasures that will last a lifetime.
We are also grateful to Bruce Woods for capturing these special moments through his photography. His images beautifully reflect the essence of our program and the joy experienced by all participants.
