Can we Help your Family?
From knowing about different types of funding and support; what is going on in the school; access to food, uniform and stationery items; being able to offer different payment methods; there are many ways the school office team can assist, link you in with other staff and offer support to you and your family. Please contact Melissa, Jen or Annie for an informal, confidential chat on 9876 3289 or kalinda.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
Applications Close Friday 4th July 2025 (end of Term 2)
The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) helps eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
If you have a valid means-tested concession card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families.
Means-tested concession cards must be valid on the first day of Term 1, 2025 (Tuesday 28 January 2025) or Term 2, 2025 (Tuesday 22 April 2025).
A student aged 16 years and over who is considered a mature minor and holds a valid concession card is also eligible to apply.
Eligible families will receive a payment of $154 per year for primary school students and $256 per year for secondary school students [remove primary/ secondary as necessary]. This anount is supposed to increase in 2026 according to this week's State budget.
The funds will be paid directly to the school to be used towards camps, sports and excursion costs for the benefit of your child.
If you would like to apply, please contact the school office on 9876 3289 and ask for an application form. Please return completed application forms to the school office as soon as possible.
It is separate from the School Savings Bonus and available to eligible families. It can now be used against other siblings at the same school - this has changed from last year. It sits in your child's account as a credit, until you nominate to use it to pay for an event. You need a current Health care card to apply. It can be used towards Camps, Sports and Excursions. We also have printed application forms at the office.
Please apply before applications close. If you have any further questions or are unsure if you are eligible, please contact the office.

Do you ever find that Compass doesn’t cater for the payment option that would suit your family? If this is the case, please get in touch with us and let us know via a confidential email to kalinda.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
There are lots of different payment options available, but Compass limits us to offering one option to all families. If paying for an event over several weeks, or in smaller payments, suits your circumstances better, we are happy to make this available to you.
