Whats Happening

In The Drama Room!

Our Year Nine Drama students are currently performing their mask scenes for younger classes. The performances involve the use of Commedia dell Arte masks, Basel masks, Venetian masks and neutral masks.

Our Year Ten students have composed original short film scripts and are currently in the process of recording some of those scripts. Students are working as directors, videographers and actors in this process.

Our Year Eleven Drama students have begun their HSC course and have just finished reading our first play for the year called 'Neighbourhood Watch' which is a play about the unlikely friendship between an elderly lady and a twenty-something woman in her street. Students are also beginning the process of choosing and developing their individual projects for Drama.

Our current HSC Drama students sat their HSC Drama theory exam on Thursday 31 October. The 1.5 hour exam required them to write two essays in the 90 minute exam about plays we have studied over the past year.

A cast of 15 Years 9-11 interested students are also working hard after school in rehearsal for our upcoming Shakespeare production of Macbeth which opens in week Five in the Drama Room.
