Year 2
Hello from 2D
In 2D we have been reading many fun procedural texts such as ‘Wombat Stew’ written by Marcia K Vaughn and ‘How to Catch a Star’ by Oliver Jeffers. These books have helped us to jump into our own procedural writing. We have also been using these picture story books to practise our current reading strategy which is summarising.
Term four is measuring up to be a fun term as 2D weigh up their options.
Our class have been working hard during morning literacy sessions. We are strengthening our knowledge of sounds, improving our reading fluency together, and refining our spelling and writing skills.
Turn the volume up in mathematics! 2D are revisiting everything about measurement.
