We are learning to deepen our understanding by asking and answering questions. 

VOCABULARY

Literal questions: questions which are answered directly in the text.

Inferential questions: questions which require prior knowledge and text clues to answer.

Use the sentence stems to write and answer some questions about one of the books in your satchel, or another book you have at home.

Think about how the questions you’re writing will help your understanding of the text. 

Are you finding new information? 

Is the character what you expected? 

How have these questions changed your thinking?
