College Principal Message
Welcome to Term Four, the final term of this academic year. The holidays have passed, and students and staff have quickly settled back into the routine of teaching and learning that they know so well. Term Four is always a very busy one with many curriculum and extra-curricular activities on our calendar. October 22, saw the final day of our Year 12 students and it was celebrated in a respectful and enjoyable way. Teachers and students came together to a great celebration including a visit to their respective Junior campus.
For the class of 2024, this marks the formal end of classes, it also marks the beginning of swat vac for those students undertaking their VCE final examinations. For other students it will mark a time when they move into full time or part time employment. This is both an exciting and stressful time for students, and parents. I take this opportunity and on behalf of the Copperfield College community, wish all students taking exams, all the best for a successful examination period. To the rest of the cohort of students I wish them the very best as they transition from education to employment.
To the Year 7 to 11 students, I wish them a very productive and enjoyable Term 4.

Japanese Sister School Visit October 22 – November 6
Ms Mary Chiodo – Campus Principal, together with teachers; Ms Junko Takahama, Mr Bobby Todorovski, Ms Taylor Van Orsouw and twenty LOTE Japanese students from across the College have travelled to Japan to visit our siter school Fuji Junior High (FJH).
This sister school relationship has been in place since 1996, and it is one of the longer public-school relationships in the state of Victoria. We treasure our sister school relationship with FJH as it provides a myriad of advantages for our LOTE Japanese students and the wider school community. This is our first visit after Covid, and next year Fuji JHS will reciprocate a visit to Copperfield College.
A big thank you to Ms Mary Chiodo for organising and leading the trip. Special thank you to the participating teachers.
We look forward to many great pictures and stories from the overseas visit.

Early in Term 3, our school participated in a DoE initiative to promote our international students’ program through the creation of a promotional videoclip showcasing our strong international students’ program, our school facilities and the great opportunities international and local students ae provided when they choose to enrol at Copperfield College.
This video clip has been launched on Thursday October 23, along with four other public schools and during the international students’ exhibition in Victoria. Many agents from around the world also participated were online viewing our presentation.
A big thank you to Ms Soula Dedes – Campus Principal, Mr Ha To – International Students Coordinator and a number of other staff members, for their work organising the students during the filming day. Of course thank you to our wonderful student ambassadors and all those featuring in the video clip contributing to this excellent production.
