Value of the Week- Responsibility –

The Resilience Project (TRP) is committed to teaching positive mental health strategies to prevent mental ill health and build young people’s capacity to deal with adversity.

Through an evidence-based Teaching and Learning Program and inspiring digital presentations for students, staff and parents/carers, our school partnership program aims to support mental health in the classroom, staff room and family home.

Leading into next year, as we continue to implement The Resilience Project on a more extensive scale throughout our school, Parents/Carers may like to check out the following Hub…… The Engage Parent/Carer Hub. This hub is designed to keep families also engaged in the program. It includes information about the key principles of Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy, along with the benefits of regularly practising these. Additionally, it offers activities that families can practice at home to support their wellbeing.

Accessing the Hub

The Hub can be accessed via the secure link below, with no account setup or login required: https://theresilienceproject.com.au/2023-parent-carer-hub-inspire-martin/

LEGO THERAPY

This term we are very excited to introduce Lego Therapy into our school.

Jessica Blackman and Bridget Ross have completed the required training for this Program, which will target small groups of students.

What is Lego Therapy? –

  • Lego Therapy is a play-based approach to build Social Skills and Confidence. It uses structured LEGO play to enhance communication collaboration and problem-solving skills among students. Teachers or therapists guide the sessions to encourage turn-taking, active listening, and working together to focus on social skills rather than the final LEGO model.
