What a fantastic term it has been for our senior students.

The highlight of the term so far was undoubtedly our Year 11 Leadership Camp at Emu Gully Adventure Education Centre. After months of planning, it was incredible to see our students embrace every challenge and opportunity that camp had to offer. To say they made us proud would be an understatement.

Throughout the three days, our students consistently demonstrated leadership, resilience, teamwork and respect. They tackled every activity with enthusiasm, encouraged one another through challenges and represented Toogoolawah State High School exceptionally well. In fact, multiple facilitators commented that our students were one of the best groups they had worked with. One facilitator shared that our students were the first group they had seen successfully follow all paintball safety rules, while another remarked on how rare it was to have a group arrive ten minutes early to every activity. Their maturity, cooperation and positive attitude did not go unnoticed.

Beyond the activities themselves, what stood out most was the way our students came together as a cohort. They wore their self-designed camp shirts with pride, supported one another throughout the week and created an environment that was positive, inclusive and genuinely enjoyable to be part of. Whether they were cheering each other on through challenges, sharing plenty of good-hearted team jokes while watching State of Origin, or simply spending time together around camp, they embodied the spirit of mateship that Emu Gully aims to develop. One of the most exciting outcomes of camp was seeing our Year 11 students begin talking about what they want Year 12 to look like. It was wonderful to see students already thinking about the example they want to set as our future school leaders.

For our Year 12 students, the reality is beginning to set in that their final year is moving quickly. With only 14 weeks of schooling remaining, there is a real sense of purpose and determination among the cohort. While there is certainly plenty of excitement about the celebrations and milestones still to come, there is also a strong focus on making the most of every academic opportunity. We want these final weeks to count, and our students are working hard towards achieving their goals beyond school.

This week marks the Year 12 students' final Athletics Carnival, and there is plenty of excitement building. School events like these become even more special in a student's final year, and I know our seniors are looking forward to making the most of the day and creating more memories together.

Formal planning is also well underway. Thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of our students, fundraising efforts have been highly successful throughout the year. We are incredibly grateful for the support shown by our families, staff and community. While

there may still be one or two fundraising activities to come, students are now enjoying the exciting process of planning and preparing for one of the biggest celebrations of their schooling journey.

Looking ahead, we will also begin organising the Year 12 Senior Trip early next term. This is always a highlight of the year and gives students another opportunity to celebrate their achievements and the friendships they have built throughout their time at Toogoolawah State High School.

As always, I would like to thank our students, families and staff for their ongoing support. It is a privilege to work alongside such a wonderful group of young people. I am incredibly proud of the way our Year 11 and 12 students continue to support one another, embrace opportunities and represent our school. I am excited to see what the rest of the year holds for them.
