Boarding Bulletin

Mrs Kathryn Searle - Head of Boarding

We welcomed our new boarders and their families to our boarding community on Monday afternoon and opened the doors to our returning boarders on Tuesday. It has been a busy week!

As we come to the end of our first week, we are seeing signs of homesickness. This is very common for the first few weeks away from home. Please always stay optimistic and positive about boarding with your child and always tell them how proud you are of them with their ability to cope in their new environment away from their loved ones and home. If your child continues to struggle, please encourage them to approach staff. We have an amazing Pastoral Care team at school and in boarding, who are here to support them in their new journey.

Important Contacts

Throughout the school day, our Boarding and International Student Officer, Christine Quist, and I are now located at a School Boarding Office. Contact details are the same at school as they are in the Boarding House.

Facebook

Our Boarding House has its own Facebook group. This group is limited to boarding parents and carers, and past boarders, which makes it a great place to showcase photos of our students at various activities. If you would like to follow our Facebook group, go to the Boarding at Clayfield Facebook Group.
