Welcome Back Communication

If you have not already done so, we encourage all parents to read the Welcome Back Communication, that was emailed 23 January 2025, as it contains helpful and important information which will assist with your preparation for the school year. This communication is also available on the College App.

Meet the Teacher

As advised in the Welcome Back Communication/Primary News, we look forward to you joining us for our ‘Meet the Teacher’ information afternoon which is scheduled for Monday 3 February

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child's class and specialist teachers, familiarise yourself with classroom procedures, and hear all about the exciting learning opportunities for the year ahead.

In addition, timetables, expectations, curriculum matters, and daily routines will be explained, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions you may have. You will leave with a comprehensive understanding of the learning your child will experience this year, and we therefore encourage you to attend. If you are unable to attend, teachers will email home information discussed.

School Photos and Optional Siblings Photos

As advised in the Welcome Back Communication/Primary News, Pre-Prep to Year 6 class photos, individual photographs, PC photos, and Prep to Year 12 House photos will take place on Monday 3 February

All students are to wear their full formal school summer uniform on this day. House Captains are to wear their College Blazer for House Photos.

If students have HPE, please bring your PE gear to change into after the photos. This information will also be provided via the College App.

Sibling Photo

An offering from Studio Kirby is for parents to have a sibling photo taken. These are scheduled before school from 7:15am to 8:15am, in the Assembly Hall. Primary students must be accompanied by an adult or a responsible Secondary sibling, as no supervision is provided.

Ordering

Orders placed after school photo day may incur a late fee, so please order as soon as possible.

Please see attached Studio Kirby Ordering Information, photo schedule and photo pack information.

Primary Interhouse Swimming Carnival

In Week 3, on Tuesday 11 February, we look forward to parents joining us for the Years 2 to 6 Primary Interhouse Swimming Carnival. Further information regarding this event will be communicated in the Sports Section of the Collective and via the College App.

Primary Clubs

The Primary Term 1 Clubs Program will begin in Week 3, with the schedule to be published when finalised. Clubs are optional, at no cost to families, and the offerings change each term. Students in Years 5 and 6 can make their way to these activities themselves.

After School Activities

All Primary students enrolled in after school Andrews Cup or Britton Shield training will be met by their coaches at Circular Drive, where a roll will be taken. Please ensure you have signed them up on Parent Lounge before the first session if you wish them to be included.

Swimming coaches and Lifetime Tennis coaches will also meet students at Circular Drive if their lessons are due to start at the end of the school day. Students attending Years 1 to 3 Homework Club, or Chess and Code Camp with external providers will also be met at Circular Drive and taken to their activity. Pre-Prep students are to continue to be picked up from their classroom.

Please make sure that a note is written in the student diary so that classroom teachers are aware of arrangements for your child at the end of the school day.

Student Absence Throughout the Day

If a student needs to attend an appointment or leave the College for any other reason, we kindly ask parents to please notify Student Services. All students are required to sign out (Secondary and Primary). Parents are to park in Circular Drive and sign out the student in person.
