Being Principled at Good News Lutheran College

At Good News Lutheran College, we believe that being principled is a cornerstone of our community. For both staff and students, this value means consistently making choices that reflect honesty, fairness, and integrity. It means standing by our beliefs and taking responsibility for our actions, even when it’s not easy.

Our students show principled behaviour every day, from helping their peers in need to following through on commitments and respecting each other's perspectives. In classrooms, on the sports field, and within the larger community, they are learning to make choices that reflect who they are and what they stand for.

Our staff also lead by example, embodying principled behaviour in all they do—whether teaching, mentoring, or supporting our students and each other. They demonstrate that being principled involves standing up for what’s right, fostering a safe environment, and contributing to a positive, respectful culture.

Together, let’s continue to encourage each other to be principled, remembering that our choices shape not only our own lives but also the lives of those around us. At Good News Lutheran College, we are proud to be a community where values are lived out every day.

Christmas Message

As we approach the close of another year, we are reminded of the true meaning of Christmas – a time to celebrate the birth of our Saviour, who brings hope, love, and joy into our lives. It is also a time to reflect on the blessings we have shared as a school community and to give thanks for the support, resilience, and kindness shown by our students, staff, and families throughout the year.

This Christmas, may we find comfort in the angel’s words: (The angel said to them)

"Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people."

 – Luke 2:10

To our families, thank you for your trust and partnership. To our students, we are so proud of your achievements and growth this year. To our staff, your dedication and hard work have truly been a blessing.

May the joy of this season fill your hearts and homes with peace and love. We wish you all a safe, restful, and blessed Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the New Year.

God’s richest blessings to you and your loved ones.

Merry Christmas!
