New Staff Welcomes

Hello BPS community, I’m Tanya Stansfield and although you’ve seen me around for a number of years, this is my first time in the Science specialist role. I am a mum of 3 boys, 2 of whom are still at high school, (also a pet parent to 1 Labrador, 2 cats and a guinea pig!). I have been a teacher in Tasmania, Victoria and Indonesia during my career. Outside of school I love basketball and every weekend you will find me coaching, watching or refereeing basketball in a stadium somewhere. I look forward to sharing some scientific fun during 2025!
Hello, everyone! My name is Michael Ringin, and I will be teaching 1M this year. I have been teaching for five years now and I am very excited to begin teaching at BPS. I am a lifelong North Melbourne supporter, but my true sporting passions lie with basketball. In my spare time, I like to read, play video games, and make some music with my Scottish small pipes (a smaller set of bagpipes). I cannot wait to jump into 2025 and I look forward to meeting you all!
Hello! My name is Sarah Rohit (formerly Ellis), and I started my teaching journey at BPS back in 2019. After a few years teaching in NSW, I'm so looking forward to once again teaching the incredible students at BPS and reconnecting with the wonderful BPS community. I have taught from Year 1 to Year 6 previously, and this year I will be teaching Grade 1R, as well as leading the 1/2 team. In my spare time I love going for walks, heading to the beach with family and friends and planning our next travel adventures!
Hello BPS Community! I am so thankful for the opportunity to introduce myself to you all. My name is Sarah Morris and I am excited to share that I will be the teacher of 6M this year. This will be my first year at BPS and I feel very fortunate to be a member of this wonderful community! When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy making time for the finer things in life - which include spending time with my family, playing with my cheeky cat 'Simba' or watching the Harry Potter franchise (again). I look forward to a fantastic year getting to know you!
Hi everyone! I’m thrilled to be joining BPS in 4W, sharing Year 4 with Zoe Bartus. Having completed two of my teaching placements here, it already feels like a second home! I’m coming from Doveton College, where I’ve been teaching PE and Health, so stepping into a classroom role is an exciting new challenge that I’m eager to embrace.
As a proud Cats supporter, I love to geek out on all things footy. I’m also passionate about sport in general, staying active, and spending time at the beach. When I’m not keeping fit, you’ll find me enjoying great food, catching up with friends and family, or relaxing with a good meal. I’m looking forward to an amazing year ahead!
