The Patch Program 

I hope you all had a wonderful break. I certainly did!   I’d like to start by thanking all the parents for their help watering the garden in the holidays! I heard it was a pretty hot holidays, so without you, we wouldn’t have any vegetables to cook with this term. Thankyou! 

I’d also like to give a massive thankyou to Rotary Box Hill, who have supported us again by donating 2 new picnic tables for The Patch. This will ensure everyone has a seat to work at  when we’re not gardening. They will assembled in the next few weeks.

This term in The Patch we will be dealing with the many weeds that have taken over, as well as looking after the veges we have growing still. We will also be planting some autumn veges as well as starting off seeds for winter. Yes, it doesn’t seem it, but we need to plan ahead! 

In the kitchen, we will be utilising some of the beautiful summer veges. Can you guess what we will be cooking with these:

What a beautiful rainbow of tomatoes, and look at the size of that zucchini. I can’t wait to cook with them!
