Science at BPS

Welcome to Science in 2025 at BPS. Our Science room this year is located next to the Mandarin room, up on 'the hill' behind the amphitheatre. Our first unit of study in Term 1 will be 'Our Powerful Earth'.

F-2 students will be looking at the observable changes in the sky and landscape and how daily and seasonal changes affect everyday life.

In grade 3/4 we will be investigating how the Earth's surface changes over time as a result of natural processes and human activity.

And in grade 5/6 we will research some of the extreme weather conditions that affect the Earth's surface, with a focus on fire, flood, earthquakes and volcanoes.

As we kick off the year, my main message to the students is to "Be Curious"  in all that we do in science (and in fact in all our learning experiences!).  I look forward to sharing the journey of science with you all this year.
