Principal's Message

Welcome to our end of year bulletin

I have spent some time reflecting on this year and again am extremely proud of our achievements and accomplishments. One of our greatest outcomes this year has been the School Review. While the process was 6 months in the making to collect data and evidence, the outcome could not have been more affirming. The student data growth and improvement has been significant since 2020 along with our staff and student opinion data. Feedback and outcomes were exemplary, and our school has been noted as one of excellence and influence within the Network and Region. This has not been an overnight success, and I truly commend every staff member for their consistency in building a culture of learning and capacity. To you, our parent / carer community, I sincerely thank you for trusting us on the journey. Change is never easy and at times we may have made decisions that weren’t fully understood. There is always a plan and our next Strategic Plan for 2025 – 2028 is a brilliant opportunity to scaffold on what we have already accomplished.

I would like to acknowledge all our staff, students and community for their support and enthusiasm this year. Without our talented staff, none of our achievements would be possible. I acknowledge and thank each person for their hard work and commitment to our school. As we almost conclude 2024, we have a few staff taking 12 months leave, moving to new schools or simply enjoying a new career pathway.

A special thanks goes to Tumer and Judy who have been part of the school for a very long time. We are extremely grateful for their smiles and kindness at the canteen counter and wish them the very best. I would also like to thank those families who are moving on in 2025 – many who are Year 6 families and others who have chosen to attend schools more local to your home. Thank you for your voice, input and community spirit. We hope you are able to take away some positive and fond memories of your time at MPHPS.

Finally, I have attached a copy of our 2025 staffing below. We welcome Lisa Randello to MPHPS for 2025 and look forward to her contributions. On behalf of myself and our Leadership Team, Mel Lloyd, Kate Stimpson and Nat Kennan, we wish you a safe and happy break and we hope you enjoy it in the way that suits you. We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 29th January for the Meet & Greet ( don’t forget to book online ) and on Thursday 30th January for the official start to the year.

Cheers

Chris
