Years 8-12 BYO Devices Portal

A reminder that Year 7, 2025 will be provided a school device. However, we have also setup an optional portal through Learning with Technologies for Years 8-12 students.

So, if you are unsure which device to get your Secondary student (who is not in Year 7, 2025) you may find this portal useful. There is also a lay-buy option.

We have two chromebooks to choose from on the portal.

Clickview - how you can use it at home

ClickView

What is it? Think of it like Netflix for Education.

A very expansive library of videos, movies and TV content that has been curated into categories. No ads.

The school is licensed so all teachers and students can access it at school and at home on any device they can log in to.

How do I use it?

The way I tend to get the best use of it is to do a google search for the thing you want and find the proper name of the video / movie you want. Then go into ClickView and search for that title.

To log in to ClickView do this.

Your movie options will be limited to your age.i.e if you are in year 8 then you will be limited to PG ratings and below.

Any questions, feel free to ask itstaff@ncs.nsw.edu.au.

School student travel information for parents and students

School Travel Passes

Applications are now open for 2025 School Student Transport Scheme (SSTS) travel. Students in the Opal network applying for an Opal card (including a Term Bus Pass) for the first time will receive their School Opal card at their nominated postal address from mid-January 2025.

Students who require a School Opal card or travel pass but have not yet applied need to apply or update their details as soon as possible.

In the Opal network, students should travel with a Child/Youth Opal card until they receive their valid School Opal card. If outside Greater Sydney, parents should contact their local bus operator to discuss their travel needs.

Students living in rural and regional areas will receive their travel pass from their nominated transport operator. It may be issued via their school or be sent directly to them at home. Note: some rural and regional operators do not issue travel passes. Students/parents should confirm with their nominated operator if they do not receive a pass.

Terms of Use

Students using School Opal cards must tap on and tap off in line with the Opal terms of use. This includes travel within the approved times between 6.30am and 7.00pm from Monday to Friday on school days only. Students must use their Child/Youth Opal card for any travel outside these times. All students are required to comply with the Student code of conduct. The code of conduct aims to ensure the safety and well-being of school children and other passengers. It is important that parents ensure their child is aware of this, as failure to comply with the code of conduct can result in a suspension from travel.

Absences

If your child will be absent for school, it would be appreciated if you could complete and submit the below form or call the school office on Ph: 4422 1199 prior to school starting. If no notification is received, an SMS will be sent out to you which will require your response and reason for your child's absence.

This form can be completed in advance if you know your child will be away from school for any reason.

Late to school

Please be reminded that students are required to be outside their classrooms at the following times:

8:25am Secondary

8:35am Primary

Infants parents/carers, you may walk your child to their class before the school bell, but once school has started, they will need to walk themselves to their class on their own.

If your child is late to school, please ask them to come to the window next to the front office to check in. If they are not with an adult, you will receive an SMS to confirm that you are aware of their late arrival to school.

Before School Drop Off & Supervision

Student supervision begins at 8:10 am. Parents are asked not to drop students at school before this time. It is understood that buses arrive earlier than this. For those students who routinely arrive by bus before 8:10, they are expected to sit until supervision begins. It is suggested that they have a book or something else to do during this time.
