Visual Arts Term 1

Hi, I’m Lauren the new Visual Arts Teacher,

I have been teaching at the same school for the last 13 years and have had experience in both specialist and classroom. This is my first year teaching at Sunshine Heights Primary. I’m so very excited to be a part of this amazing school and very much looking forward to meeting the community. If you see me around please come say hi!

In our art sessions this term we will be focusing on using a variety of materials, tools and techniques to communicate their ideas, future develop their understanding of the elements of art and learn about different art works that may inspire their own art making. 

The beauty of our art classes is there is no wrong and no right there is just ART! which really allows students to “Sail into a universe of possibilities”

At Sunshine Heights Primary School, Visual Arts plays an important role in the development of your child. 

The program focuses on encouraging children’s creativity and diversity by providing art experiences which develop skills within the curriculum, the importance of being who they are and help them to develop their growth mindsets. 

As your child grows so will their skills, knowledge and creativity.
