Physical Education Term 1

Preps

This term in sport the grade preps will have a focus on listening and following instructions when participating in activities. This will also include moving with and without equipment during gameplay.

Grade 1/2,

This term in sport the grade 1 and 2’s will be focusing on team gameplay as well as learning to share ideas with others. This includes also building on skills in listening and following instruction.

Grade 3/4,

This term in sport the grade 3 and 4’s will be learning how interact positively with others in different situations surrounding physical activity. We will also practise and refine movement skills in different situations especially in athletics and badminton. 

Grade 5/6,

This term in sport the grade 5 and 6’s will demonstrate skills to work collaboratively and play fairly. We will also practise specific movement skills and apply them to group, and team play situations, especially in athletics and badminton.

Interschool sport starts on the 14th of February where the students will compete against other schools in soccer, basketball, tennis and cricket. There is also a modified games group that focuses on skill building.
