School Parking and Pedestrian Crossing

Our children learn from our actions, so it is always important for us to lead by example.

Please remember to always park in designated parking areas when dropping off or collecting your children. We have been made aware of people parking outside of these areas, or even across the school crossing in some cases.

It has also been reported that some individuals are not utilising the school crossing and are crossing at other locations along both Smith Street and Carrington Street. Please use the school crossings, as these are the safest places to be crossing the roads during busy times.

In the interest of safety to our whole school community, we request your cooperation with these matters.

Book Week Parade

National Children's Book Week has been celebrated throughout our school this week.

To celebrate this wonderful event, our Book Week Parade will be held at 9.15am this Friday, 22nd August, on the basketball courts. Be sure to attend the parade to see all of our wonderful book characters!

Spelling Bee Competition

This week, nearly 60 of our Year 3–6 students took part in the Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee. Each student was presented with 30 words to spell, with many encountering words they had never heard of before. We are so proud of all participants as they showed resilience throughout the competition. It was wonderful to see our students challenging themselves, persisting, and being able to think under pressure.

Well done to everyone who took part!

Curriculum Day Reminder

A reminder that Monday, 25th of August, is a Curriculum Day and students will not be required on site. This day provides a chance for staff to participate in training for a particular area.
