We have been doing jumping and we learn some new skills to do in circus. We learned how to spin plates on a stick. We learned how to juggle sticks. We had to grab two sticks and have a partner and then we go up down. I like circus. I like when we spin the plates.

Kyneton Secondary College students, who ran 5 weeks of PE sessions, finished up their last netball skills session on a wet 25 June. Our year 6 students thanked them and then F/1 handed them each a card they had made for them in appreciation. Thanks for the incredible work the KSC team did with our NPS students!
What a great day our Newham PS athletics was! We were met with an ominous drizzly grey morning but after checking the rain radar, we were optimistic that the sun would prevail and shine down on our little school, which it did. Our field events were long jump, shot put, discus, vortex and the obstacle course. We had several track events of 100m, 200m and a 100m relay, followed by novelty races of spoon and egg, three-legged and wheelbarrow races. The students were amazing, encouraging each other with praises and support. Thanks to our parent helpers Tom B, Tom A, Richard, Emily and Bec.
Last Tuesday the 4,5,6 students went to Sunbury to play basketball against other Primary School students in the COBAW district. There was a girls team and a boys team. Both teams showed fantastic teamwork, sportsmanship and skill. After playing nine games that day, Both teams very exhausted but had a great time. Well done!
